DESCRIPTION:https://BLCCFoodForest.eventbrite.com \nJoin us in person to volunteer for a Community Reforestation and Healthy Food Access Initiative along the Blue Line Corridor \nThe Blue Line Corridor Coalition Food Forest Project is a placemaking and healthy food access initiative led by a partnership between LISC DC\, The Capital Market\, and Joe’s Movement Emporium GreenWorks Program and designed to transform underutilized vacant lots in the Blue Line Corridor into vibrant\, community-rooted edible landscapes. \nVolunteers will come together to support the GreenWorks team in preparing a site and planting trees\, shrubs\, and groundcover that contribute to long-term community health and stewardship. This is a great chance to get your hands dirty\, meet new people\, and help cultivate a community space that everyone can enjoy. No experience needed—just bring your energy and enthusiasm and we’ll provide the neccessary training and materials.
