Men’s Bible Study 

The Men’s Bible Study is designed so that all of the men that attend can build a stronger relationship with our Lord and Savior by growing in our faith through challenges and successes. The Men’s Bible Study challenges each other to grow in our faith by encouragement, support, and prayer. 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 7:00pm.

Tuesdays | 12:00 pm Community Bible Study is on Summer Recess.  Classes will resume in September.

Outreach Ministry Food Pantry

Is it not right to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house. Weekly distribution of food and clothing contact Anne White for additional information. Tuesdays at 9:00 am to 11:30 am.

Outreach

COMMUNITY DAY IS THIS SATURDAY, 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.! All are invited    Volunteers are needed for set up, registration, greeters, break down, and clean up. Please see Sister Karen Coates to volunteer or for more information.

Gethsemane will be giving away school supplies during Community Day. The Outreach Ministry is asking for school supply donations for this project. Donations can be put in the School Supply box located in the narthex.

Sunday Morning Worship

Praise the Lord with us at our morning worship service! This service offers an uplifting, engaging and inspirational worship experience. Each week our pastor brings insight and perspective that causes the scriptures to come alive. Sundays at 10:00 am.

Crusaders For Christ

Dear Gethsemane do you love to sing? Then CFC has a place for you.  No experience needed, just a love for music & be 13yrs old or “young at heart.” Rehearsals are 1st / 3rd Sunday’s after morning worship to prepare to sing on the 4th Sunday. Open rehearsals will be September 1 and 15.

Lay Servant Ministries

The Washington Region of the BWCUMC will hold another Lay Servant Ministries Academy, August 24-25, 2019 at the BWC Mission Center, Fulton, MD. Lay Servants, Lay Speakers, Lay Ministers, and interested church members are encouraged to register for classes for certification, recertification, or Christian growth. Registration must be made on-line; go to www.bwcumc.org>Events>Lay Servant Ministries Academy on or before Sunday, August 11, 2019. The class fee is $35. More information is on the glass counter in the Narthex, or you may contact Dorothy B. Stubbs.

Lay Leadership Development

It’s that time of the year again!  The Lay Leadership Development Committee (LLDC) is looking for new leaders for 2020.  Interest cards indicating availability/interest for various ministries are available today in the Narthex. Please complete the card for the position of your interest and place it in the box provided.  A description of the duties for each committee is also available.  The LLDC encourages you to share your gifts and become a new ministry leader.

PGCMLS Summer Meals

While school is out for the summer, meals will still be available for children in our community at select schools, apartment communities and libraries. The Library will offer Summer Meals for youth, ages 18 and under, until August 16 at the following locations:
