Join Gethsemane United Methodist church for our monthly delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables for residents in the local area. 2nd Mondays at 8:30 am.

Outreach Ministry Food Pantry

Is it not right to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house. Weekly distribution of food and clothing contact Anne White for additional information. Tuesdays at 10:00 am.

Gethsemane Reads

Harvest Season 2018

Harvest Season is coming! Celebrate your harvest by participating in Gethsemane’s Harvest Giving. Each member and friend of Gethsemane is asked to give a special Harvest Gift of $200 in celebration of the Harvest.

Music Ministry

Remember the New Testament’s admonishment to make a melody in our hearts to the Lord. Bring your gift to the Lord; come sing with a choir! No experience required. Silence the Violence Concert

On Saturday, Sept, 29, at 7:30 p.m., National UMC, 3401 Nebraska Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C., will host Silence the Violence, a concert calling for the end to gun violence in America. The event will feature performances by the Augmented Eight, the Children’s Chorus of Washington, members of the Capitol Hill Chorale, the Howard University Rankin Chapel Choir, the Boy and Girl Choristers of the Washington National Cathedral, and the National UMC Men’s Ensemble. Proceeds will benefit The TraRon Center, “helping those affected by gun violence heal through the arts and activism.” General Admission tickets are $20, available at the door or online at www.nationalchurch.org/concerts.

The Annual Church Conference (formally known as Charge Conference) will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at Gethsemane.
