Christian Education
You are invited to attend a workshop on “Diversity: Beginning the Dialogue” on Saturday, March 30th at 10 a.m. The workshop will be presented by Dr. Shirley Newton-Guest. Rutha Thompson, Chair- Christian Education Committee.
The Coronation
Join Minister Travis Jones as he presents The Coronation on This Saturday, March 30th, 6:30 pm. at Queens’s Chapel UMC, 7410 Old Muirkirk Road, Beltsville, MD. This will be a dynamic night of worship through music, liturgical dance, and visual arts. Tickets will be available in the narthex after worship. See Sister Rosa White to sign up for van service.

Gethsemane Reads
Gethsemane Reads will meet to Hinds’ Feet On High Places, by Hannah Hunard, on Sunday, March 31, in the fellowship hall immediately following morning worship. All are welcome.

The Season of Lent
Lent, the period of 40 days before Easter (excluding Sundays), begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Saturday, the evening before Easter.
During Lent, we enter into a season of preparation, self-reflection, and repentance when we seek to literally “turn around” and realign our lives and focus toward God. It is a time to give up things as well as take on new life-giving practices, helping us rid ourselves of distractions and our own selfish desires. There are many ways in which you can deepen your spiritual walk during the season of Lent at Gethsemane UMC. All are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities for worship, study, fasting, individual and corporate prayer, and service.

Music Ministry
The Mass Choir will rehearse April 1st, April 4th, and April 18th. in preparation for Easter Worship. All are invited to sing in the Mass Choir. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.
