Mission

Gethsemane United Methodist Church’s mission is to be transformed and to transform our local and global community into a more just, inclusive, and supportive place. We seek to achieve this through word, worship, and service; building interfaith partnerships; and advocating for policies, systems, and environmental changes that help people to live healthy and whole lives.

• To seek discernment of, and a response to God’s will through His Word in providing the church membership with a solid Christian foundation.
• To promote faithful service and witness through positive outreach and programs which will excite and encourage all persons in the membership.
• To assume a conscious role to build in the community of the followers of Christ, a variety of experiences, programs, and support services consistent with the way of the Lord and the Discipline of the United Methodist Church.
