Minister Janaye Page has been a faithful member of Gethsemane UMC for over 20 years where she has served various ministries including the Young Adult, Communications, and Christian Education ministries. Minister Janaye is a graduate of University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She is currently receiving theological training at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC. At Wesley, she is a Fellow in the Community Engagement Fellowship Program specializing in Urban Ministry, Missional Church, and Public Theology.
She has served as a Digital Disciple on the Communications Ministry working to meet the ministry’s engagement goals using digital platforms. Minister Janaye has been a contributor to Meal on the Hill, a ministry initiative and monthly fellowship that provides healthy meals for residents of the greater Capitol Heights neighborhood. As a Young Adult Coordinator, she has contributed to Youth and Young Adult Sunday, a contemporary worship service and space to experience God through good vibrations, positive energy, and fun. A scripture that Minister Janaye Page lives by is: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
