Good evening Trustees,
Ahead of our upcoming meeting on Tuesday, December 9th at 7:00pm, please find a concise overview of the agenda and major items for discussion.

We will begin with opening prayer, roll call, and approval of minutes, followed by the October finance report. Executive updates will cover several ongoing projects, including installation of the outdoor community refrigerator, the green roof structural load analysis and funding needs, the status of the church sign, progress on the Gethsemane Housing Project, the new Community Resilience Hub grant application, and updates from the Sacred Grounds program. We will also review the delayed timeline for the Electrical and HVAC Improvements Project and discuss anticipated 12–18 week building closures that may impact ministries and access.
Key discussion topics include:
- Tree Planting Initiative – confirming tree adopters and planning a memorial celebration.
- Geotechnical Engineering Proposals – reviewing two bids ($25–30K) and determining whether to authorize firm selection so campus redevelopment planning can advance.
- Security Team Updates – finalizing safety workshop schedules, reviewing updated room numbering, and confirming communication plans.
- Concrete Repair Needs – addressing immediate safety concerns at entrances and walkways and approving an estimated $4,000 in repairs.
- Building Use Requests – reviewing two external proposals:
- Galilee CDC’s request to relocate its food pantry and administrative offices to Gethsemane.
- One Love Life Center’s request to host weekly youth sessions and therapeutic support on-site. The Board will assess feasibility, scheduling, and alignment with ongoing renovation projects before deciding whether to explore one or both partnerships further.
